Katalyst Ministries is involved with two mission trips annually. We believe that these trips offer us a chance to be a catalyst for work being done in other countries as well as for growing the students we serve. These trips help students and adults realize that our Christian walk is not about us, and that the God we serve is bigger than simply what is happening in our own cities.

We do these trips with purpose in mind for the people we are going to serve and the people who are going to serve with us. For some students this may be an opportunity that they would not otherwise have and because we do all the planning, small churches or groups can have the chance to participate. This gives us a real opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students that are serious about the Lord in the hopes that God will challenge them to lead out in their own churches and communities.

We have been taking the trip to old Mexico for the past five years and are very familiar with the people we partner with there. This year we will be our first trip to Lemoru, Kenya to do work in the orphanage that we began sponsoring in June of 2005. These trips are not vacations in any way and the workload is extreme, but the Lord's faithfulness is even greater. If the Lord has called you to go then trust Him for everything and expect your life to be changed forever.
