In Matthew 16:24 Jesus gave one of the most incredible invitations of all time. He said, “If any one would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” This is truly the heart of Katalyst Ministries. God has commissioned us to make disciples, not simply convert people to a way of thinking but to invite them to die, and find true life in Christ Jesus. So this is an invitation to you. We would like you to follow us as we follow King Jesus for the purpose of training and discipleship. We want the opportunity to help mold you, inspire you, teach you, and train you in righteousness. We want to see you become addicted to the adoration of King Jesus and stuff you full of the word of God. If you are in a place where you know God is calling you to go, to grow, to follow Him, we would love to be a catalyst for that process in your life. We will shrivel up and die, if we try to exist without pouring into the next generation of catalyst for the kingdom.

Katalyst Weekend Ministry Teams

This may be one of the most effective tools that we offer in terms of hands on discipleship. Katalyst Weekends are similar to Disciple Now weekends, except that for these weekends our ministry provides the band, the speaker, and the leaders for each home. That is where you come in. We need college age students that will be committed to serve as leaders in homes for these weekends. Over the past few years we have been a part of some of the most incredible moves of God during these weekends, and that is due in large part to the awesome teams that we have taken with us. If you are in a place where you want to grow, where you want to be involved in ministry that matters- if you can stand being challenged spiritually and the smell of 8th grade boys, then this is the perfect place for you to start. Many of our team members over the years have become addicted to the incredible blessings that accompany this work and Katalyst Weekend Teams have been a true catalyst in the lives of so many student leaders. Some of the past members of our teams are currently on the foreign mission field (including Bud and Kim Huffman at the Mattaw Children’s Village in Kitale, Kenya), some are enrolled in seminary, some are full time church staff members, but all them are forever changed by the chance to give their lives away during Katalyst Weekends.
